My story

I started in medicine and ended up building the instruments.

I came to UC Davis pre-med. Somewhere between organic chemistry and a neurotech club meeting I realised the part of medicine I cared about was the signal: what the body is saying, how you read it, and what you can do once you can.

So I switched to building. Brain–computer interfaces at Efferent Systems and Neurotech at Davis, RNA structure models in the Computational RNA Biology & Medicine Lab, and the plain, dependable software that keeps a team moving, like CareFlow and the club's internal platform.

I like owning things end to end: sensor to model to interface, and the infrastructure underneath. When something breaks at 2 a.m., I would rather it be my cluster in the closet than someone else's.
